Since the closing of my main outlet in early 2010 in Emsworth (owned by Toby Sherwood) I've been busy building my three websites to display examples of my furniture in the hope that they would catch someone's eye and tempt them to part with some of their hard-earned cash.
For some of my prospective customers there seems to be a little hesitance in paying up front. To allay their anxiety I have produced this 'Recommended by' page so that they can email my previous customers and be reassured/comforted by their remarks.

The following clients have agreed to give references:

We would be happy to act as references and you may pass
on the address if you want to. We thought the quality of your work was excellent
and delivery was reliable, on time etc. Your dedication and interest in the
project was evident...so hope you do get more orders. However, please reserve
the time to do roughly the following for us over the next couple of months
(starting as soon as you can):
1 king size bed..probably Selborne without the turned
top bits of the posts
2 singles...probably Bentley
2 wardrobes
2 chests of drawers
possibly other stuff in addition.
I will try and contact you, maybe on Tuesday and then
deal with the payment so hopefully you will have funds by the end of the
week.

After some deliberation from another client sent the following email. As yet, this is not a reference but an indirect recommendation:
Dear Mr Kemp
Apologies for messing you about a bit. After quite a bit of deliberation we are prepared to go ahead with the order and pay up front. However during all this too-ing and fro-ing we have made a few slight alterations about what we want so I want to run these past you first.
1) We still want a Froxfield bed, waxed and with the high bottom end.
2) The bookcase labelled 1A on the pinedemonium website. However could we have this 72" tall instead of 68"? Again waxed.
3) The wardrobe labelled 3 on the pindemonium website, you had already agreed to make it 42" wide and double hanging, we have decided we would like the internal shelves to only be 12" wide if that is possible? Once again waxed.
I assume the offer to deliver for £50 still stands? If so nearer the time we can arrange a suitable day when we can make sure there is some help this end.
You also mentioned that you could have the items ready by Christmas, however it would not inconvenience you too much would it be possible to have them early January instead? We have a fair bit going on in December and various visitors and it would be less complicated for us if we don't have to start moving the existing furniture at the same time as everything else! If this is a problem then please let me know.
If you are able to advise me of any price changes for the above from the original quote then I will forward the money to you by bank transfer as soon as possible after that.

Just to let you know that the furniture arrived safely this afternoon. We are delighted with it. Our youngest daughter loves her new bed! We will certainly use you again if we need anything else.
